About the movie
The story of a young boy, Adam, whose father is hanged for poaching. Young Adam decides to leave home and try his luck to become a champion. Along the way, he has a conflict with Count Markoč, whom he beats up for abusing a peasant woman. Adam has to hide from the soldiers and, although he has fallen in love with Beta, the daughter of a craftsman from Trnava, he has to join the army of Count Palfa.
