Chłopski Skarga

The story of the origin and development of the Polish peasant movement is shown against the background of the story of Jakub Bojko, co-founder of the first peasant organisation. A native of the village of Gręboszów near Dąbrowa Tarnowska, he worked very hard, educated himself and eventually became a Member of the National Sejm for 19 years, and of the Viennese Parliament for 21 years. Jakub Bojko was full of charisma, captivating village crowds with his speeches. Although he rose through the ranks in politics, he never left his native Grêboszów. He was mayor of his village for nearly 25 years. He cared for the development of education, founded an agricultural association, fought against drunkenness, and nurtured patriotic traditions.
