The popular Janosik Days festival takes place here at the turn of the summer months and, in addition to the dominant folklore, offers presentations of other musical genres, exhibition openings, folk craft demonstrations, the minting of ducats and fireworks. Since 1968, an indispensable part of the last day of Janosik Days has been an attractive horse-drawn cart parade. This is usually a large procession of musicians on decorated carts pulled by ten pairs of horses.
Visitors can meet the musical masters as soon as they arrive in Terchová thanks to the village's innovations. At bus stops, tourists can listen to a song that is directly related to the place by means of a QR code. Currently, samples of the music can only be listened to at the bus stops, but in the future the municipality wants to extend the QR code locations to the entire municipality.
At the Golden Musicians' Workshop, run by the Golden Fiddlers, visitors can learn Terch's music, which has been listed as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage due to its uniqueness. In addition to musical performances, visitors can admire traditional techniques for decorating folk costumes, and there is also Janosik himself from the films of the same name.
