Description of the place
One of the youngest towns in Cieszyn Silesia called the Beskid Three Villages (Istebna, Jaworzynka, Koniaków), is a great place to relax. They are completely different from the well-known tourist towns of Ustroń and Wisła or Szczyrk. There is peace and quiet here, and the tradition is felt at every step. The contemporary Beskid Three Villages offer tourists excellent conditions for rest and recreation. They include a rich accommodation base, snow-covered and illuminated ski slopes with ski lifts (Zagroń, Złoty Groń), a cross-country skiing centre, marked hiking and walking routes, bicycle and Nordic walking routes. Plus numerous museums and regional chambers.
A place in the movie
The landscapes of Koniaków and Jaworzynka were used, among others in the final scene of the last episode of the series "Czterej pancerni i pies" [”Four Tank-Men and a Dog”], i.e. in Janek's wedding with Marusia. A cavalcade of carriages and ladder wagons with singing participants going from Ochodzita towards Jaworzynka shows the picturesque areas of Cieszyn Silesia. In addition, a wooden highlander cottage with a red sheet metal half-hipped roof and an attic, which in the film served as a wedding house, still stands near the Volunteer Fire Department in Jaworzynka. The landscapes of the Beskid Three Villages were also used by Piotr Wereśniak in the second part of the film "Oh, Karol 2", which tells about Karol’s love affairs with numerous women.
