A place in the movie
The "Dance of the Four Swans" from the Tchaikovsky ballet for the film "Ziemia obiecana" ["The Promised Land"] was shot in the Adam Mickiewicz Theatre auditorium. In the scene showing the performance watched by the Łódź bourgeoisie, Borowiecki discusses business. Based on Reymont's novel, Wajda is said to have created the best theatre scene that was shown in the film.
