Description of the place
Hoszów is a small village in the Bieszczady Mountains, near Ustrzyki Dolne. It has an agricultural character. Among many other similar villages, it is distinguished by the fact that one of the most beautiful former Orthodox churches in Poland is located here - St. Nicholas Church in Hoszów.
A place in the movie
The Orthodox church was used as a film location in the 1960s in the film "Wolf Echoes". This is where the main character Piotr Słotwina and Tekla secretly met. In the film, we only see the outer walls of the building. The scenes inside the temple were filmed in a different location.
