Jarosław, Ostrogskich Street

The view from ulica Ostrogskich (Ostrogskich Street) to the tower of Corpus Christi collegiate church is the background for several scenes in the series "1920. Wojna i miłość" (1920. War and Love), including the scene of the shooting of the Red Army soldiers who raped women from the city. In the film "Katyń", the market square in Jarosław and ulica Ostrogskich was shown in the film in a scene in which a pro-Soviet agitator drives through a Polish city covered with Soviet flags and Stalin's portraits, and repeats through a megaphone that "The Red Army of the Soviet Union is your only friend". In the film "Ether" a black car, significant for this period, is driving along ulica Ostrogskich. We can easily recognize the characteristic collegiate tower visible in the background.
