Description of the place
Kalwaria Pacławska is a village located in the Podkarpackie Province, approx. 24 km from Przemyśl in the southwest direction. The town is known as the location of the Sanctuary of the Passion and Our Lady of Kalwaria. At the top of the local mountain, there is a Franciscan monastery, a basilica and a pilgrims' house. The surrounding hills are very similar to the landscape around Jerusalem, hence the location of the church and chapels.
A place in the movie
Pacław - part of the village of Kalwaria Pacławska - was used by the makers of the film "Zimna wojna" (Cold War). The first scenes of the film were shot there with the participation of village musicians whose work was filmed.
