Komańcza, Wood Shrine Memorial To Mother Of God

In the Bieszczady forest, near the Komańcza-Letnisko railway station, there is a statue of the Mother of God. It was probably already in this place when the convent of the Sisters of Nazareth in Komancza was being built.
At the time when Primate Wyszyński was interned in Komańcza, the wayside shrine of the White Lady marked the border for his walks in the area. Wyszyński followed his father to this wayside shrine, as is shown in the film „Jako w niebie, tak i w Komańczy” (As In Heaven, So In Komańcza).
