Description of the place
The Bukowska Pass is located in the Western Bieszczady, at an altitude of 1107 metres above sea level on the Polish-Ukrainian border, near the highest and most picturesque mountain peaks of this range - Rozsypaniec, Halicz, Tarnica, Krzemień and Bukowy Brod. It is a great place to rest, there is a wooden shelter of the Bieszczady National Park and there are time tables of the red tourist trail crossings.
A place in the movie
The Bukowska Pass and the bird's eye view of Rozsypaniec, Halicz, Tarnica, Krzemień, Bukowe Berdo will be recognised in the TV series "Wataha" - the arrest of the Ukrainian Mafia boss with the participation of a helicopter took place here. Nearby, there is a border post on the lane of the border road with Ukraine no. 163, which in the series makes for a green border. It is best seen from the Rozsypaniec - Opołonek tourist trail. This is the only trail that stretches along the state border (between signs 164-213). It offers an extraordinary view of the Eastern Bieszczady Mountains. In some sections, Rebrov runs past it several times a day.
