Description of the place
Przemyśl belongs to a select group of the oldest and most beautiful Polish cities. Situated at the foot of the Carpathians, in south-eastern Poland, it is a border town both geographically and culturally. Przemyśl is a city of a thousand monuments - magnificent churches of various denominations and well-preserved cemeteries, cobbled streets with a preserved atmosphere from years ago, richly decorated tenement houses and cosy courtyards, a castle on a hill, the San River, forts of the Przemyśl Fortress, bunkers of the Molotov Line, a wonderfully restored railway station, steep walks and a magnificent panorama of the city from the hills on which Przemyśl is located attract not only tourists but also filmmakers. The city of Przemyśl can be seen in the scenes of historical and contemporary films.
A place in the movie
Due to the multitude and variety of monuments and attractions of the city, Przemyśl is a great background for historical and contemporary films. The picturesque buildings and areas of the city were not only used in films about Przemyśl, but also played the role of Vilnius and Lviv settings.
