A place in the movie
In the Oscar-nominated film “Eva Nová”, a scene was filmed at this location in which the protagonist Eva, playing a shipwrecked old actress, buys a small flat bottle of hard liquor at a downtown liquor and newspaper kiosk. She revisits the recent days of alcoholism, for which she lost not only her career but also the love and trust of her son and loved ones. This downtown liquor and newspaper kiosk is no longer to be found. There is an empty space left behind. The film footage gives a brief glimpse of the kiosk’s dispensing window, where the vendor hands the drink to Eva.
