Description of the place
Stary Dzików is a village in the Subcarpathian Province, in the Lubaczów district. In the past, it was a small town but lost its city rights after World War II. The buildings that testify to the former multiculturalism of the village have survived to this day. They are the old synagogue building, the ruined Greek Catholic church of St. Dymitr, the ruins of the brewery and the remains of the garden surrounding the former manor house.
A place in the movie
The brick Greek Catholic church of St. Dymitr, located in Stary Dzików, was used as a location in the film "Katyn". We can see the building from the outside, against the background of a large group of prisoners of the Kozelsk camp, and inside with wooden bunk beds.
