A place in the movie
The Tatranská Lomnica railway station, built in 1895, became the location for the film "A novel for women". A short scene in the film, wher Laura and Ricki get off the train, was shot at this railway station. The movie “Katka ”was also filmed at this location. In the scene, where Dodo, who has invited Katka for a trip to the Tatras, is waiting for her at the railway station, we can see a shot of the station from the outside. The railway station also inspired the creators of the film "Eagle Feather", in which Valér and Starc decided to leave the Tatras, but changed their minds at the last minute and went for a beer. At the station they met Dustman, who was determined to leave the Tatras. The footage of the meeting of the main characters with Prašivec leaving the Tatras was filmed at the station in Tatranská Lomnica. In reality, the actual departure of the train was filmed at Studený Potok station, 9 km away. In the shot, we can see the view of the station from the outside.
