A place in the movie
The panorama of Štrbské Pleso has been decorated for many years by a huge ski jump located on the southern back of the Predný Solisko. The ski jump has inspired filmmakers who used it in several scenes of the film “Štipku soli”. In this film, it can be seen in a scene in which Vendo imagines himself going to jump off the ski jump as an “experienced ski jumper”. In the shot behind Vendo we can see a small ski jump. In another scene, as Vendo looks at theski jump from below, we can see Mount Patria in the background.
The view of Štrbské Pleso can also be captured in the children's series "She Fell from the Sky". In the second episode of the series called “Lietač”, the viewer has the opportunity to see a shot from the large ski jump to the lake Štrbské pleso.
