Štrbské pleso, Wellness Hotel Patria

Hotel Patria, located in the heart of the High Tatras, is one of the landmarks of Štrbské Pleso. It is located in the immediate vicinity of the most sought-after lake in the Tatras. It inspired the film makers who shot scenes of the movie "The Price of Courage" here in 1986 in snowy, winter weather. In the parking lot in front of the hotel, a scene takes place in which the son Petko calls out to his father Petr Vanak, who is repairing the car and talking to his father-in-law. In the shot, as they push the car together, we can see Mount Patria and Predné Solisko behind them. In the scene that takes place on the balcony of the hotel room, where Lenka is talking to her mother about hunting and family relations, we can see the snow-covered lake Štrbské pleso in the background. In other scenes of the film, the viewer can notice the interior of the hotel room, the hotel café, or the outdoor space in front of the hotel.
