Description of the place
The Tyskowa Valley is an area left after Tyskowa - a village that does not exist today, displaced in 1947. It is situated between the scenic peak of Korbani and the ranges of Durna and Łopiennik. The valley is closed from the south-east by the Hyrcza Pass. All that is left of the former village is the foundation of the Orthodox church, the cross crowning the dome and a few damaged gravestones in the church cemetery. A few hundred metres below, on the site of the former manor house, two wooden buildings stand. Scenes for the TV series "Wataha" and the film "Na granic" were filmed here.
A place in the movie
Surrounded by hills, the Tyskova Valley is a place that gives the impression of being isolated and remote. Several shots for the TV series 'Vataha' were taken here - one of the wooden huts plays Luczak's lodge, where Rebrov lives after losing Eve. The thriller "On the Border" was almost entirely filmed here.
