Description of the place
Ustrzyki Dolne is a town in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, the seat of the Bieszczady County. It lies on the route of the small and large Bieszczady loop. The town is known as the winter capital of the province due to its well-developed skiing infrastructure. In the summer, the town is popular with hikers and cyclists and is a great base for trips to Lake Solina and the Bieszczady Mountains. The Milling and Village Museum and the Natural History Museum of the Bieszczady National Park are worth a visit, and in summer it is worth taking a ride on a bicycle tram, the stop of which is located in the town. In 1968 a western-style film "Wolf's Echoes" premiered, for which some scenes were filmed in Ustrzyki Dolne.
