Vlkolínec, meadows

Filmmakers are attracted to Vlkolínec not only by the characteristic long courtyards, wooden houses, patterned house walls, the Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, or the most frequently photographed objects - a two-story wooden belfry or a log well. Vlkolin meadows were also used for the film "Tysiącletnia pszczoła". The scene in which Valent and Hanka chase each other in the meadow was filmed over Ruzomberok, in the meadows of Vlkolin, with Mount Sidorovo visible in the background. Since the filming of the film, the area of the meadow has changed. It is now partially forested.
