Description of the place
Zatwarnica is a small Bieszczady village in the Lutowiska municipality, located at the foot of Połonina Wetlińska and Otryt. Distant from the main Bieszczady ring road, it is an ideal place of rest for tourists who love the mountains but avoid crowds on tourist trails. In the village, depopulated after World War II, a horse park was established in the 1950s to house horses used for carrying wood from the Bieszczady forests. Years later, a studio cinema called Końkret was opened in these buildings, with films on Bieszczady themes on permanent offer, as well as a tea-room-café called Cafe Końsekwencje.
A place in the movie
Zatwarnica was home to Horse Park No. 7, which produced 3 Bieszczady-themed films: ''Free Saturday'', ''Detour Cinema'', ''Password''. These films were based on radio plays and scripts by Jerzy Janicki, for whom the Bieszczady were his second home.
