About the movie
Zbigniew Cybulski plays Jańczak - a diving coach disqualified by the sports authorities. In the countryside, the trainer starts teaching children to swim. He incidentally meets Majka, a natural talent. The girl does not train in any club. Coach Jańczak decides to prepare her for the competition thinking she might participate in the Olympics in Mexico. The girl hesitates to leave everything for the sport while falling in love with the coach. Before the first competition, Majka meets Werner - a competitor who is paralyzed after an unsuccessful jump. He was trained by Jańczak. Despite her fears, the girl wins the competition but then withdraws.
