The impact of cinematography (films and series) on the promotion of the tourist, cultural, natural and economic potential of film locations - invitation to a workshop in the form of a public consultation

GreenFilmTourism is a project that was created to promote a specific value that strengthens the tourist attractiveness of the Polish-Slovak border region. It is the film heritage. There is a wealth of film productions that exploit the region's assets: the beauty of the landscape and nature, the wealth of historical monuments, the colourful diversity of the living culture, as well as the extraordinary meanders of the history of these lands and the magical aura of the legends circulating here.

We want to share a systematic knowledge of the film heritage. For enthusiasts, there will be a detailed database; for tourists visiting our borderland, there will be a proposal for a trail where places associated with the film or its makers sit alongside a host of other unique attractions.

We are also keen to add contemporary cards to the film heritage, which is why we are inviting you to take part in a workshop for public consultation. We are organising two online meetings (on the clickmeeting platform), on 9 and 12 July, at 10:00 a.m. Please choose a date convenient for you and indicate in the application form, and send it back by 9 July to: m.paszek@mcksokol.pl.

We have prepared the workshops in such a way that you, too, can take new inspiration from them. In addition to the SOKOL team which is carrying out the project, you will also meet a great film enthusiast, the creator of numerous documentaries and feature films, many of which have been inspired by the characters and historical plots of the region in which he lives. We are talking about Mr Bogdan Miszczak, who will tell us how he became a film producer, what obstacles he faces and how he overcomes them.

I sincerely hope that you will be willing to spare two hours and accept our invitation. The effects of the project will serve us all by making Malopolska an even more interesting destination for tourists. By taking part in the consultation, you will be able to contribute to this.
