Description of the place

This Podhale village is located in the Tatra poviat, from the south it opens with a wide valley to the Belianske Tatras. It is situated on the Białka River, which forms a picturesque gorge stretching to Krempachy, which is a nature reserve. The village is very attractive for tourists not only because of the views, but also because of the excellent skiing infrastructure, accommodation and thermal baths. The river is perfect for whitewater kayaking and rafting, and the surrounding hills are popular with paragliders. Being in Białka, it is worth visiting the historic church of St. st. Simon and Judy. It was built around 1700.

A place in the movie

Białka impresses not only with its original Podhale architecture with interesting decorations. The scenery of many film productions was the Białka River with its beautiful gorge and Obłazowa and Kramnica - two characteristic rocks that mark the border between Spisz and Podhale. This is where the scenes of the film "Karol, the Man Who Became Pope" were shot, as well as many shots of the series "Janosik". Memorable scenes of stone extraction, brigands' baths or a feast with roasting a lamb were recorded in this place.
