Description of the place
Jeleśnia is a unique place on the map of Poland. There are four mountain ranges of the Beskids in its area. In addition to the central culmination of Pilsko, Lipowska and Rysianka, the commune is surrounded by the Babia Góra range, the Jałowieckie Range and the small Pewelskie Range located on its north-eastern border. It is also the most developed part of the Beskids in terms of tourism. There are three high-mountain PTTK shelters, tens of kilometres of hiking trails, nature education paths, and mountain bike routes.
A place in the movie
Jeleśnia, located in beautiful mountain scenery, was the shooting location for the film "Milion za Laurę" [”A Million for Laura”]. Lively folk culture and highlander tradition, as well as vast mountain landscapes, give the location a unique character and provide film potential, especially for outdoor scenes.
