Description of the place
A village in the Nowy Sącz district, near Lake Rożnowski. The proximity of the lake makes the local tourist and agritourism base willingly used by summer vacationers. In the village there is a historic, eighteenth-century church of St. Nicholas, moved here from the nearby town of Tęgoborze, where, after building a dam, it found itself on the shore of Lake Rożnowski and was subject to flooding. Currently, it is located on a hill, from which there is a wonderful view of the lake and the surrounding hills.
A place in the movie
The village, like its surroundings, appears in films about provincial gated communities. Used in one of the scenes of the film "Corpus Christi", as well as in the film "Mug" by Szumowska - it was here that the team assembled a giant statue of Christ on a hill for the film.
