Description of the place
One of the oldest villages of the Šariš region was called Sedikart. In the past the village belonged to the Bardejov district, since 1910 it belongs to the Prešov district. The village has a rich past, there was a brickyard, a mill, a stone quarry, a distillery and so on. The inhabitants of the village were engaged in traditional activities of agriculture and fruit growing.
A place in the movie
One of the well-known contemporary films was filmed in the village - the eastern comedy "Loli Paradička", which won a large part of the audience for its witty catchphrases and scenes. The village of Záhradné is shown in the film in scenes by the Pohoda pond, or in shots of the maringotka or the inn, where the main characters discuss important topics of their everyday life.
