About the movie
The action of the film takes place from the beginning of the 19th century until the Second World War. It describes the tragic fate of the Fabic family. The main character, Filip, gradually learns the story of his family, which is cursed. Filip learns that the cause of all his family's misfortunes is the code of his great-grandfather Mathias. The code states that after the death of his wife, Elizabeth Castiglione, no woman bearing the name of Elizabeth may ever reside at Elizabeth's court.
