About the movie
An adventure comedy set during the reign of King Sobieski. Chevalier de Charentes (of half-Polish origin) receives the mission of kidnapping from Poland and bringing to France Queen Marysieńkas father, who, with his love of gambling, has a negative influence on the opinions of the nobility about the French. He does not know that his servant was ordered to kill the queen's father on his way back to France. The complicated geopolitical plot is also intended to direct Poland's attack not on Turkey, but Austria. Chevalier de Charentes learns that the goods of the family he heirs have come under the Turks. The innate sense of justice makes Chevalier do favours for ... Austria. The winner, and the smartest player in the international plot, turns out to be Jan III Sobieski. And Chevalier... finds a wife in the Commonwealth.
