About the movie
The rebellious Tomek Spojda, fascinated by gliding, runs away from home. With other youths, he accidentally joins the Gliding School at the foot of the Żar Mountain. The rebellious boy is in trouble - he can't keep discipline and focus on his studies. He finishes the course but is not accepted to a higher grade. After returning home, he accidentally sees one of his colleagues do a crash landing. A storm is approaching, so he decides to take off and take the glider to Żar Mountain. Thanks to this, he is admitted back to school. Meanwhile, the engineer is building a glider. He calls him Junak and wants Tomek to start in it as the first pilot. After an accident caused by sabotage, the whole group consolidates so that Junaks can take part in the competition.
