Miedzybrodzie Zywieckie, Żar Mountain
Lokacja szczegółowa
A place in the movie
The slopes of the Żar Mountain, and above all the thermal conditions and the shape of the top of the mountain, became the object of interest for filmmakers as early as the 1950s. In the film "Pierwszy start" ["First Take-off"], most of the scenes were shot here, in which the "races" of gliders took place, and Stanisław Mikulski - the future impersonator of the role of Kloss made his debut. Whereas, in the film "Latające machiny kontra Pan Samochodzik" ["Flying Machines Versus Pan Samochodzik"], the scenes were shot on the Żar Mountain showing how these flying machines, i.e. hang gliders, motor hang gliders and gliders, were used to chase criminals.
