About the movie
A young boy from the suburbs, Jerzy Zamiejski (played by Mieczysław Cybulski), builds an aeroplane in his workshop. By chance, he meets Janina (Tamara Wiszniewska), the daughter of a Polish millionaire from Brazil. The millionaire invites an engineer to cooperate. His daughter falls in love with a handsome young man. As a result of intrigues, Jerzy chooses to study at the Polytechnic and leaves Janina. After graduating from the Faculty of Aerodynamics (with the support of a millionaire), the fresh engineer embarks on a pioneering flight without landing from Poland to Brazil. The radio breaks down in the plane, which means that daredevils have to find their way without the help of navigation instruments.

Trivia
- An unfortunate air accident took place when shooting the outdoor photos, during which the plane (probably an RWD-11) was destroyed. The alternate of the main character, Jerzy (Mieczysław Cybulski), was a pilot named Żak - fortunately, he survived the accident.
