About the movie
Rudolf Vrba and Alfred Wetzler were two Czechoslovakians of Jewish origin who managed to escape from a concentration camp. They came to a Jewish village near Žilina, where they told their story. But they were shocked because no one believed their story. So they wrote a 32-page report to inform the Pope, President Roosevelt, Prime Minister Churchill and many journalists, including journalists from the BBC and the New York Times. The Allies, however, did nothing to prevent further deportations and did not take any coordinated action against the organizers of the concentration camps during this period.
