About the movie
The year 1945. The war is over, but there is still unrest in the country. "Groźny", a Home Army soldier, does not lay down his arms and, together with his comrades, occupies a village in the Żywiec region. He wants to save his people and kill the local communist at the same time. In the village, he meets an old friend who promises help, provided that Groźny's unit leaves the village, so as not to endanger its inhabitants.

- Already at the time of its premiere, the film caused a lot of controversies, as it showed the Home Army underground in a negative and disgusting way. It was accused of resembling the propaganda productions of the Stalinist years, even though it was created in a completely different era.
