Description of the place
The village in the Prešov district, above which towers the ruins of the medieval Kapušian castle, offers tourists several possibilities for relaxation. There is the Cyril and Methodius Park, which is dominated by the indoor park amphitheatre, relaxation zones Rozprávkovo and Bocianovo, the School Nature Garden Nezábudka, Bridges of Understanding, One Step Closer and the Community Garden Under Kapušian Castle. There are several dining options in the village and accommodation is available at the Farmer Area Guesthouse. There are suitable conditions for summer hiking.
A place in the movie
In the village located under the ruins of Kapušian Castle, the cult rural film "Grazing Horses on Concrete" was filmed. Its creators used the premises of the former community centre. In the sequel to the film, entitled "...horses on concrete", a scene takes place in which Joan carries the film to the cinema where the film will be screened. The scene was filmed in front of the community centre towards the railway station. In the first part of the film, the scenes on the cooperative were filmed in Šarišské Michaľany, in the second part it was filmed on the former cooperative in Kapušany. In 2018, Igor Kasala filmed a number of scenes of a sadly comic independent film about two bachelors called "Forget".
