Mlynky, Re-education Centre, Biele Vody 267

In the film "Piórko", scenes from the orphanage were filmed in the Re-education Centre in the village of Mlynky, belonging to the Biele Vody part, located among beautiful nature.  The Re-education Centre is an institutional facility where foster institutional and re-educational care is provided for abandoned children, but also morally disturbed children. The facility receives pupils from all over the country, aged 10 to 15 or until they complete their compulsory education. Scenes from the film were shot mostly indoors, but the exterior of the Re-Education Centre can be seen against the beautiful landscape.
