The quarry "Drobny", under a high rock wall, was the setting for the scenes of an emotional conversation between Rebrov and Grzywa in the final episode of the first series. Rebrov is furious as he discovers that his friend Grzywa was one of those who betrayed the titular 'pack' of border guards and passed on information to the criminals who killed so many of Rebrov's loved ones. It is here that Grzywa first aims a gun at Rebrov and later encourages Viktor to shoot him. However, Rebrov throws the gun to the ground and continues his escape.
