Tarnawa Niżna, Baza nad Roztokami

Baza nad Roztokami is a hotel located in the surroundings of wild nature, away from the main tourist routes, near the Polish-Ukrainian border. A great starting point for nearby attractions, such as peat bogs, Hucul horse breeding, and the European bison farm in Muczne. Baza nad Roztokami can be recognized in the film "Na granicy". The Border Guard unit can be seen here, visited by Mateusz and his sons. They celebrate Lech's birthday and in the morning visitors go to their hut in the mountains. Baza nad Roztokami was also used as a location in the Wataha series. It is there that scenes of the interior of the former watchtower were recorded, in which an explosion takes place and almost all the officers of the Border Guard Post in Ustrzyki Górne are killed. Miraculously, only one of them survives - Captain Wiktor Rebrow. The hotel also plays in the series "Wataha" [”The Border”] the role of a refugee centre and is recognizable in many scenes.
