Tropie, Church of St. Świerad and St. Benedict

The church in Tropie is the backdrop for many of the events in Małgorzata Szumowska's film Twarz, including religious ceremonies - Holy Mass and First Communion, as well as a solemn Pasterka (it is interesting to note that the shots were filmed in summer and the organist had to repeat the carol 'Bóg się rodzi' many times during the oppressive heat). The façade of the church, its interior and the sacristy can be seen. The Diocesan Curia in Tarnów agreed to conduct filming inside the church after reading the script.
