About the movie
A ballad about one family's mysterious drama in a tangle of passion, death and crime. The love of a young woodcutter Jasek and the daughter of a sawmill owner Etelka is threatened by an ancient tragedy. It happened in a secluded mountain and forced Faktor to close himself and his daughter off from the world and people. But the past resurfaces when a mysterious man arrives at the sawmill one day. Based on a short story by Dobroslav Chrobák.
