In the movie "Janosik. A true story" one of the mills appears in the film as Uhorčík's hideaway. We can see the Lower Mill - "brunčiakovský", which was built by the village of Veľké Borové in the first half of the 19th century. There are two wheels on the mill, which powered not only the mill equipment, but also the old type of sawmill. Nowadays, the sawmill has undergone a complete reconstructionand became a tourist attraction.
The main character of the film "The living whip", Eva Hlavajová, suffers a breakdown. She cannot stand the taunts of the villagers. Her ordeal ends tragically, she commits suicide. In the film there is a look towards the lower mill.
The Oblazy watermills in the Kvačianska Vallye, are also featured in the film "Mikola and Mikolko", there is a shot with the view of the lower mill in Oblazy. The footage shows the miller unexpectedly returning home, where his wife receives a churchman, the situation is witnessed by Mikolko.
Shots from the movie "Jasek's dream" show the character Factor standing on the rocks below the lower mill (in the frame) in Oblazy. He recalls a tragic event from the past when during a jealousy scene he pushed off the rock his wife - Etelka's mother.
In the movie "Zelary" Lipka washes himself after a fight in a stream near the Oblazy watermills in the Kwaczańska Valley.
