About the movie
The mayor of the small village of Osadne, Mr Ladislav Mikuláško, has held his political office for a record 36 years. There is also an Orthodox priest, Piotr Soroka, who has buried 50 people and baptised 2 children in the last five years. The village is slowly dying out. The mayor and the priest, together with their wives, are beginning to fight to save it. They know that the future of the village could be affected by the development of tourism. They enlist the help of the head of PR of the political movement "Rusinowe Odrodzenie", Fedor Vic, who, with the humour of Don Quixote, attracts a high-level visit from Brussels to the small village. MEP Milan Gaľa is impressed by the village's problems and invites local politicians to Brussels. Around 80 000 people a year visit the European Parliament on organised tours.
