The oldest settlement of the High Tatras with its beautiful Tatra surroundings has hosted filmmakers in the past. In the thirteen-part series "The Sinful People of Prague", director Jiří Sequens Sr. The eighth episode, entitled Telegram from Naples, is set in the Tatras. A shot of the Grand Hotel Starý Smokovec appears in the film, but it is not clear whether the following scenes were actually filmed there. Other films include "A Novel for Women", "The Eagle Feather" and the crime series "30 Cases of Major Zeman".
A place in the movie
In the Upper Zemplín town, director Marko Škop filmed a scene from the award-winning documentary "Osadné", where, in front of the Andy Warhol Museum, the mayor of the village, Mr Ladislav Mikuláško, together with the Orthodox priest Petr Sorok, contact Fedor Vic to communicate their intention to build a tourist trail to attract people to their area. A scene of the documentary "Other Worlds" was also filmed in Medzilaborce, in which Fedor Vico moderates the show "Kvašne Mlíko" at the 42nd Culture and Sports Festival. The latter is a parody of the well-known TV show Smotánka. "It's the biggest reception that Rusyns experience only once a year."
