A place in the movie
In Przedwiośnie Bukowno was presented as a neighbourhood of Baku in Azerbaijan. Among other things, the areas of the sand mine were used. Six scenes were filmed here. An extensive decoration was created beforehand. Workers had to dig a long ditch. These areas are the backdrop to the scene of the Armenian slaughter, in which 450 extras took part. It is interesting to note that they were not filmed in Asia because the historical events depicted in them still evoke vivid emotions there. In addition, against the backdrop of the Bukovian landscapes, we see Mateusz Damięcki wandering around the Kara-Kum desert. In Magdalena Łazarkiewicz's film Na koniec świata, the mine acts as a place located in Manchuria. The location is particularly exposed in the scene when Teresa (Justyna Steczkowska) runs along sandy paths accompanied by little Maja to see the balloon launch. It is then that Teresa meets the eccentric painter Wiktor (Aleksandr Domogarov). From now on, their relationship will be the drama axis of the film and will determine the fate not only of these two but also of their loved ones.
