A place in the movie
The place with the romantic ruins of the castle is an ideal background for the adventures of the titular Mandrin in the international film production of the cloak and dagger genre.
In the historical film Podhale w ogniu, which tells the story of a peasant uprising inspired by Aleksander Kostka-Napierski, at one point the insurgents seize the castle in Czorsztyn. The film tells the true story of the ten-day occupation of the castle by rebels, who were defeated by cutting off their access to the only well supplying the castle with drinking water at the time.
