About the movie
The biggest ideological project of Czechoslovak television, glorifying the apparatus of the VB (public security). Filmed between 1974 and 1979, the TV series follows the life of Jan Zeman, with whom we live for 30 years. Jan Zeman returns from a concentration camp together with Kalina and Doctor Vesely. After solving his first case as a mere amateur, Kalina recruits him into the nascent ZNB (National Security Corps). He is sent as a waiting officer to the ZNB in Kateřínské Hory. Here he meets Jirka Hradec, with whom he travels to Prague after solving an illegal border crossing...
