About the movie
During the colonization of the Americas, two hostile Indian tribes, the Delawares and the Hurons, were pitted against each other. The Great Serpent, the last of the Mohicans, saved the life of a chief from the Delaware tribe. His reward was to be the hand of the beautiful Wahtawah, but she is kidnapped by the Hurons during the wedding ceremony. The Great Serpent and his friend the Deer Hunter set out on a journey until they reach the cabin of Tom, who lives there with his daughter Judith. Just nearby, the Hurons have their camp, which the American soldiers intend to attack. The Indians win the battle and Tom becomes their prisoner. The Indians' joint negotiation does not lead to the conclusion of an alliance, as Sharp Arrow, the chief of the Hurons, refuses to unite the Indians. Eventually, prisoners are exchanged, but Sharp Arrow is shot, resulting in further fighting.
