About the movie
11-year-old Romek, a Jewish boy from the Krakow ghetto, is transported to the countryside to the family of Gniecia Lipa, where he is to be hiding as a Polish Catholic child. Romek befriends the children of his benefactor and the local priest. However, many dangers await him there as well, because the blackmailer Kluba and his son Robal know about the boy's Jewish origins.

- A well-known film with the Hollywood main cast and Poles in supporting roles. Shot almost entirely in Małopolska. Despite exceptional efforts, the film was never shown in American cinemas but was introduced to the DVD market straight away.
