About the movie

Eragon, a simple country boy, finds a strange blue stone in the mountains, which he first tries to sell to help his family. The situation changes, however, when he discovers that the mysterious stone is the dragon egg from which the dragon Saphira is hatching. With the ancient sword and wise guide, Eragon and the dragon must overcome many dangerous obstacles in a world ruled by a cruel and ruthless king.
