About the movie
A humorous story based on a short story by Martin Kukučín. The main characters are two married couples, the Krtovs and the Trnks, who are quarreling neighbours. A heifer, which Trnka sells to Krt, disappears in front of a tavern where the two men are drinking the deal. This causes a rift between the Krtovs. On Christmas Eve, however, everything is resolved and reconciliation takes place in the family and among the neighbours.
