Lokacja szczegółowa
A place in the movie
Katedralna Street is one of the most beautiful and characteristic streets of Przemyśl. For filmmakers, it is a great location for historical films, because in the background of the shots they can show the majestic cathedral in Przemyśl.
In the film "Kronika wypadków miłosnych" [”Chronicle of Amorous Accidents”], Witek and Alina walk along Katedralna Street towards the station in a group with other high school students and lively discuss love, among other things.
In the series "Młody Piłsudski” ["Young Piłsudski"] the charm of Katedralna Street was used in several scenes. We can see it as the route for the carriage of the new head of the Vilnius gendarmerie, Colonel Lew Kreutzberg and his wife. In another scene, Józef Piłsudski has a conversation with his brother's friend and rejects the idea of socialism because he doesn't like a world where everyone speaks Russian.
The film "Pasja" includes several scenes shot on Katedralna Street and Katedralny Square in Przemyśl. Here a group scene was shot, where the Austrian army marched along Katedralna Street to the rhythm of the drums. We can see a large group of young soldiers in white coats and with bayonets in their hands.
Near the cathedral, on his way to a conspiratorial meeting, Edward Dembowski notices a mounted squad of Austrian soldiers and calmly walks by.
One of the protagonists of the series "Dziewczyny ze Lwowa", Uliana, returns home down Katedralna Street after selling her beloved violin in an antique shop. She has just lost her job at the philharmonic hall and that's why she decided to go to Poland, to Warsaw, to earn a living by working as a cleaner.
